We truly feel welcome in Avondale.
Macarons or Macaroons?
Considered the jewel of French pastries, macarons have been deemed “America’s newest dessert darling!” Not to be confused with macaroons, the more familiar, American coconut cookie “macaroon”. “All of our macarons are gluten free, with no preservatives or artificial flavors.”, stresses Fabrice. Small and fitting in the palm of your hand, as genuine French macarons should, each unique and delicious cookie is made from a secretly kept French recipe, with quality ingredients.”
OUR STORY – “From France to Jacksonville”
French restaurant pros Fabrice and Tahar set a new goal in 2015: sell their restaurant in Lyon, France, and acquire a franchise in the USA. “My friends called me crazy, but sometimes you reach a point in your career when you need a new challenge!”, laughs Fabrice. “Honestly, I felt a bit overwhelmed when I landed in Jacksonville!”, recalls Fabrice. “We didn’t know anyone in town, and our English was very basic!”
The two French businessmen opened a first successful bakery-café at the Avenues Mall, then a second one at The Shopped of Avondale. Their latest addition is a kiosk at the St Johns Town Center.
